On Together, you can conveniently book sessions into your mentor or mentee's calendar using our intuitive scheduling system. This not only includes the agenda for your session but also sets up reminders to keep you on track. It's essential to book through the platform, as it enables us to provide you with the necessary resources and structured guidance for your mentorship sessions.
Pro Tip: Always get in touch with your mentor or mentee before booking a session directly into their calendars. This helps ensure that the time works for both of you.
For Mentees: We encourage you to take the lead in scheduling sessions. A courteous email to your mentor to discuss availability is a great way to initiate your mentorship.
Booking Your 1-on-1 Sessions
Once you're matched in a program, here's how you can book a session:
Go to your homepage and click on the profile of the person you want to meet:
Click 'Book Session' to start scheduling. If it's your first session, you'll see a prompt to guide you:
In our scheduling wizard, you'll find several options to tailor your session:
- Session Duration: Pick from 30, 45, or 60-minute slots.
- Conferencing: Add a video link or choose a physical meeting spot. If your preferred tool isn't listed, coordinate it outside the platform.
- Choose a Date: Available dates are highlighted in blue, while past times are greyed out.
- Choose a Time: Times where both you and your match are available have a green dot next to them, while past times are greyed out.
Once you've selected the date and time, and added a video conferencing service (optional), click on your preferred time slot to send a calendar invite.
If you have multiple sessions in your match, you have the flexibility to schedule them all at once or just start with one. Choose a preferred day, for example, every Tuesday at 9:00 AM, and decide how often they occur—weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. This way, you can easily maintain a consistent meeting rhythm that fits both your schedules.
Finalize the invite by clicking 'Send Invite'. Here's how it'll appear in your calendars:
Remember, if a session happens outside of Together, mark it as complete on the platform to keep your progress updated.
Don't Have a Calendar Integrated?Â
No problem! You can check out our guide on Scheduling Sessions Without your Calendar Integrated.
Scheduling in Group Programs
As the facilitator/mentor of a group, scheduling sessions is similar to 1-on-1 sessions and just as easy!
From your homepage, select your group.
Click 'Book Session' next to the session you want to schedule.
Here, you can view your group's availability using the Heat Map, which shows how many members are free at each time slot. Look for slots when everyone is available. Click on the time slot that works best for your group, set the session duration, and add a video conference option if needed.
