Together allows administrators to assign due dates to content topics within mentorship programs, helping guide participants through structured learning timelines. Due dates provide a clear expectation for when content should be completed and help keep users on track.

Note: Due dates are only available for content marked as Required. Optional content does not support due date functionality.

How Due Dates Work

When creating or editing a content topic in Together, administrators can mark the content as Required. Once marked as required, a specific due date can be set using a calendar selector. This due date applies universally to all users assigned to that content.

Note: Optional content can still be accessed and completed by users, but will not display a due date or generate automated reminders.

Participant Experience with Due Dates

When a required content topic has a due date set, users will see it reflected on their content dashboard. If the due date is within the next two weeks, the content will also be prominently featured on their homepage as a reminder of what’s upcoming.

Participants will receive automatic email reminders both before and after the due date if the content has not yet been marked as complete. These reminders help ensure timely completion and reduce the need for manual follow-up by program administrators.

Marking Content as Complete

For most content types in Together (such as documents, videos, or links), participants must manually mark the item as complete once they have reviewed or finished it.

SCORM content is an exception. SCORM packages include built-in tracking and will automatically mark the item as complete based on the completion criteria defined in the SCORM file. Participants will not see a “Mark as Complete” button for SCORM items.

Tracking Completion as an Admin

Administrators can view completion data for each content topic from the Track Progress section in the Content tool. This allows you to see who has completed required content, who is still in progress, and whether any reminders might be necessary.

Pro-tips:

  • Due dates can only be assigned to content marked as Required.
  • Participants see due content on their homepage if it’s due within the next 14 days.
  • Automatic email reminders are sent before and after the due date if content is incomplete.
  • Users must manually mark most content as complete. SCORM content is marked automatically.
  • Admins can monitor completion from the Track Progress tab.
