Add Admins & Users (Manual)

The below article covers 3 key actions:

1. Adding a User

2. Adding an Admin

3. Uploading a list of Users

Note: if your organization is leveraging an HRIS integration, #3 will not be relevant for you.

Getting Started

For all 3 actions, please log in to the platform and click on the Users menu.

1) Add a User

Click + Add User and add a First Name, Last Name and Email. Under Account Permissions, checkmark the Participant box and click Save. You may scroll down for additional user settings.

2) Add an Admin

Click + Add User and add a First Name, Last Name and Email. Under Account Permissions, checkmark the Administrator box and click Save. You may scroll down for additional user settings.

3) Uploading a list of Users

Click Upload Users.

This will bring you to a screen where you have 2 options:

  1. Upload data from a file
  2. Copy and paste into a form

Upload data from a file

For those organizations looking to upload several HRIS fields into Together (and are not connected to our API), this is the action you will take.

  1. Click the purple Upload data from file button
  2. Upload any .csv, .tsv, .txt file. Ensure this file has First Name, Last Name, Email, EmployeeId, EmployeeStatus code at a minimum. For a full list of Together fields see here
  3. Correctly identify the header row in the file. This will support the upload in mapping back the correct columns.Screen_Shot_2021-07-21_at_8.32.10_AM.png
  4. The tool will prompt you to verify that the correct column is mapped to Together.
      • For example, in the photo below, the tool is asking you to confirm that the First Name column is correctly mapped to First Name filed in together. If this is correct, click Confirm Mapping. If this is incorrect, click on the second field and choose the appropriate field in Together. Click Confirm Mapping when you are done. If there are fields that you do not want to upload to Together, click Ignore this column.Screen_Shot_2021-07-21_at_8.35.35_AM.png
      • NOTE: The tool will not let you submit until you've confirmed mapping for First Name, Last Name, Email, EmployeeId, EmployeeStatus.
  5. Once the above is complete, click Review. Depending on the file size, this can take a few minutes to finalize the upload.
  6. After a few minutes, refresh the User table. You should see you users uploaded to Together.

Copy and paste into a form

For those organizations looking to upload only First Name, Last Name & Email into Together, this is the action you will take.

  1. Copy and paste the First Name, Last Name and Email into the spreadsheet.
  2. Once the above is complete, click Continue & Submit. Depending on the file size, this can take a few minutes to finalize the upload.
  3. After a few minutes, refresh the User table. You should see you users uploaded to Together.
