Recognizing the importance of skills and goals in creating successful mentorship matches, we've improved our approach. Now, we're separating personal identity details from development goals in our questionnaires, making the matching process more straightforward and effective.

Separating Identity from Development

  • Identity Fields: This includes details like Office Location, Seniority, Department, and other demographic data. Such information is crucial for understanding the organizational context and background of each participant but does not directly influence personal development goals. For this field type, admins can indicate the match strength.
  • Personal Development Fields: These are the questions focused on skills, career aspirations, and personal growth objectives. By asking these questions specifically and separately, we ensure a clear understanding of what each participant seeks to achieve or offer in the mentorship program. For this field type, users can set their own match strength.

As an admin, you can create these fields under Program Settings > Questions & Algorithm by clicking the Add button located at the top right-hand side of the page:

Here, you can select one of the two options for creating a question; Add a program-specific question or Add an organization-wide question:

On this page, you'll see the new field types separated by their distinct categories; Identity, Personal Development, and Other
