The Matching tables view provides Administrators with a centralized way to manage, monitor, and take action on participant Matching within a Program. Accessible via Program > Matching > [Match Type] > Matching > View All Participants, this page surfaces multiple tables that reflect different stages of the Matching lifecycle.
The available tabs and functionality vary depending on the Match type and Matching process configured in the Program.
Understanding the Matching Tables
Each tab within the Matching page represents a specific segment of participants or Matches. These tables allow Administrators to track Matching progress, identify gaps, and take direct action such as initiating Matches, filtering Users, or sending communications.
Unmatched Mentees
The Unmatched Mentees table displays participants who are eligible for Matching but currently have no mentors assigned.
- Includes Users with 0 active mentors.
- Can be filtered to show:
- Users who have previously been matched.
- Users marked as not eligible for Matching.
- Commonly used to identify gaps in mentor capacity or Matching coverage.
Available Mentees and Mentors
The Available tables display participants who are eligible for Matching and still have remaining capacity.
- Includes Users who are partially matched (e.g., 1 of 2 slots filled).
- Helps identify participants who can still be Matched without exceeding capacity limits.
- Useful when manually assigning Matches or reviewing Automatching results.
Match Recommendations
The Match Recommendations table displays system-generated Match suggestions based on the Program’s matching algorithm. These recommendations reflect the top potential Matches identified for participants and update each time new recommendation emails are sent to Users.
- Provides visibility into the recommended matches surfaced to end users.
- Allows Admins to verify that recommendation emails are being sent and that Users are receiving new suggestions.
- Recommendations are refreshed automatically with each new recommendation cycle.
From the Match Recommendations table, Admins can take direct action on suggested Matches:
- Assign to Staged Match to review or batch approve later.
- Assign to Active Match to immediately create a live Match.
This table is particularly useful in User-led Programs with Match Recommendations enabled, as it provides transparency into how the algorithm is guiding User Matching decisions.
Staged by Admin
The Staged by Admin table contains matches that have been created but are not yet active.
- Populated when:
- Admins manually stage Matches.
- Automatching is run and results are pending review.
- No notifications are sent to Users at this stage.
- Admins can:
- Approve Matches to make them active.
- Discard Matches.
Awaiting User Approval
The Awaiting User Approval table includes Matches that require User action before becoming active.
- Used in scenarios where:
- Admins send matches for mentor or participant approval.
- User-led Programs require two-sided approval.
- Displays:
- Pending Match requests.
- Outstanding approvals (only the currently active request per User).
- When Match Recommendations are enabled, Admins can also review top recommended Matches surfaced to Users.
Active Matches
The Active Matches table shows all Matches that are currently live within the Program.
- Includes all active mentor–mentee, peer, or group relationships.
- Supports actions such as:
- Ending Matches.
- Reviewing Match details.
- For deeper analysis, reporting tools may provide more comprehensive insights into Match performance.
Common Table Features
All Matching tables share a consistent set of tools and configuration options to support Program management.
Filtering and Segmentation
Admins can filter participants across all tables to refine results and focus on specific cohorts.
- Filter by registration questionnaire responses.
- Combine filters to segment Users by attributes such as department, goals, or experience.
Customizable Columns
Each table supports configurable columns to tailor the data displayed.
- Admins can add or remove columns depending on what information is most relevant.
- Column configurations persist for easier ongoing use.
Bulk Actions and Communication
Admins can take action on one or multiple Users directly from the tables.
- Select Users to:
- Send custom emails.
- Perform bulk actions such as matching or status updates.
- Email templates or custom messages can be used to drive engagement or prompt action.
Understanding Table Columns
Each table includes a set of columns that provide context about participants and their Matching status. While available columns may vary by Program configuration, the following are commonly used:
| Column | Description | Example Value |
|---|---|---|
| Name | The participant’s full name. | John Doe |
| The participant’s email address. | johndoe@example.com | |
| Role | The role the participant holds in the Program (mentor or mentee). | Mentor |
| Matching Status | Indicates the participant’s current Matching state. | Has not accepted a Mentor |
| Capacity | Shows how many matches a participant can support. | 3/3 left |
| Eligible to Match | Indicates whether the participant can be matched. | Checkmark |
| Match Score | Algorithm-generated compatibility score (if applicable). | 97% Match |
| Actions | Available actions for the participant or Match. | Stop Match |
Key Considerations
The Matching tables experience is dynamic and adapts based on how your Program is configured.
- The tabs shown depend on the Matching process (Admin-led, User-led, Roulette, etc.).
- Not all tables will appear in every Program.
- Data updates in real time as participants register, Match, or change status.
Matching tables are most effective when used alongside filtering and bulk actions. Regularly reviewing these tables helps ensure participants are matched efficiently and that no eligible Users remain unmatched.
