Together uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) as our primary cloud provider, and customer data and backups are stored by default in the US.
Our default data center for US customers is the AWS us-east-1 region (N. Virginia), where multiple replicas of data are stored across availability zones to provide durability and high availability.
You may elect to have your data stored in any AWS region that supports the services required by the platform for an additional fee, which can be discussed with your account executive. If this is something you're interested in, please contact your account executive directly or submit a request to us here.
For more information on AWS global infrastructure and region locations, please check out this article from Amazon:
Note: As of Feb 2026, we have completed our transition of database and application storage from Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to Amazon Web Services (AWS). All new customers, and the majority of existing customers, are now hosted on AWS-based infrastructure.
