Together offers multiple Session Agenda Types, allowing Admins to decide how Session Agendas are created and maintained across programs. This article explains the differences between Personalized, Guided, and Fixed Session Agenda Types, including guidance on when to use each option.
Â
Session Agenda Type Selection
When creating or editing an existing Program, the Session Agenda Type setting can be altered at any time. To select or update a Session Agenda Type, take the following steps:
- Navigate to Programs via the lefthand side toolbar.
- Select an existing Program, or create a new Program.
- Select Matching from the Program-level options.
- Select an existing Match Type, or create a new one. Each Match Type can have its own agenda.
- Select Agendas from the lefthand side toolbar.
- Select either Guided, Personalized or Fixed Agendas under Session Agenda Types.
- Make updates as necessary dependent on the selection, and click Save.

Â
Note: When Personalized or Guided Agendas are enabled, participants will still have access to the Fixed Agendas of a Program through the Program Resource page, see: Finding Your Session Agendas 🔍
Â
AI-Generated Agendas
Â
AI-generated Agendas, including Personalized Agendas and Guided Agendas, leverage the latest advances in AI to allow each pairing to have a bespoke agenda generated for each Session, customized using information from their participant registration profiles, previous Session Agendas and any custom talking points that a User might have provided. Having a unique, relevant agenda to guide a Session ensures that mentors, mentees, and peers derive maximum value from their interactions.
It's important to note that activating AI-generated Agendas will not alter the content of any current Session Agendas. You can also easily revert to the original settings at any time without impacting the custom agendas previously generated or edited with AI assistance.
AI-generated Agendas are only available for 1:1 matches, and are not yet available for Group Mentorship programs.
Note: While AI-generated Agendas are accessible to all users across various languages, please be aware that the agenda content is currently generated only in English.
Â
Guided Agendas
Guided Agendas are AI-driven agendas that allow Admins to influence how they are created. For each Session, Admins can provide Guidelines (AI prompts) to generate Session Agendas automatically. When Matches are established, these prompts will factor in to the AI's Session Agenda output for each Session in a Program.
Guided Agendas are designed for Programs that want the efficiency of AI-generated content, while still keeping Session structure aligned with the outcomes, themes, or expectations set by your organization.
Once the Guided Agendas option is selected from the Agendas page under Match Types, Admins will be able to select the Number of Sessions for the Agenda, or Use a Template. Each Session can be individually edited to establish Guidelines.
Â
Â
If using a Template, the number of Sessions will update to reflect the Template, and pre-written Guidelines for the selected Template will automatically populate for each Session Agenda. These can be further edited as necessary, but serve as a pre-established baseline.
Â
Â
When adding Guidelines to a Session, an Agenda Preview can be generated using sample data to give an idea of what the Session Agenda will look like in practice. This can be regenerated as needed following changes to the Guidelines, and we recommend testing different Guidelines until the output reflects what's best for your organization's needs.
Â
Â
After all Sessions within an Agenda have been set up with Guidelines and tested, click Save on the bottom right to apply the Guided Agendas to the Match Type being updated. Moving forward, Session Agendas will be automatically generated using both the Admin's set Guidelines and individual participants' bios and questionnaire responses.
Â
Personalized Agendas
Personalized Agendas leverage AI to generate a unique Agenda for each Match and each Session, using information from participant profiles. When enabled under the Agendas section for Match Type, Personalized Agendas will be generated automatically, with no additional input needed from an Admin. This option is ideal for organizations wanting to use AI to completely streamline their operations.
By selecting Explore Personalized Agendas on the Agendas page, Admins can preview the user-side AI editing experience.
Â
Â
This feature uses profiles of two template Users to showcase the user-side functionality of editing Agendas, allowing Admins to gain firsthand experience with the AI's capabilities, without having to enable the feature for a Program.

Participant Editing Experience
Users will have access to the Personalized and Guided Agenda AI editing tools from any context where they can edit a Session Agenda. For more information about the user editing experience, see: Editing Agendas ✏️
Participants are also able to preview a generated potential Session Agenda, before even matching with another user. To learn more about how participants interact with Personalized agendas when finding a match, you can check out this article: Finding A Match.

Data Protection and Personalized Agendas
In addition to our standard anonymization of User data, the AI-generated Agendas features also ensure:
- Only registration questionnaire answers that are set to “Visible to everyone” are sent to OpenAI.
- All user-supplied AI custom topics are anonymized.
- The registration questionnaire answers to questions that may contain sensitive answers, such as gender, ethnic group & nationality are redacted.

Fixed Agendas
Fixed Agendas are manually created Agendas that are the same for all participants on a given Match Type. They are set up by an Admin and do not use AI to generate content.
Fixed Agendas are a good option when a program requires consistent structure across all Matches, or when Admins want complete manual control over Agenda content.
After selecting the Fixed Agendas option from the Agendas page under Match Types, Admins can click edit (the pencil icon) for each Session to add a title and content for each Session Agenda.
Â
Â
Once all Session Agendas have been configured as needed, click Publish on the bottom righthand side to save and apply changes. Moving forward, the Fixed Agendas created here will be applied to all Matches using this Match Type.
