The following article will help you understand what the reports mean in Together Platform.

Date Ranges

Reports about Registrants and Sessions will always respect date filters. This is because a user can only transition to "Registered" once (and can't "unregister"), and a session can only transition to "Completed" once (and can't be "un-completed").

In contrast, reports about Matches and Matched Users will indicate whether they respect date filters. A match can transition between "Active" and "Ended" multiple times in a given period. Similarly, a user can transition between "Matched" and "Unmatched" multiple times in a given period. Because of this, there may be multiple meanings to what "Matched" means in a given period. Let's use an example:

  • Matched Users: This could mean currently matched users or users who were ever matched in that period. The latter is always a larger number.
  • Matches: This could mean currently active matches or matches that were ever active in that period. The latter is always a larger number.

Your reports will use the "Current active" users and matches unless it explicitly says you're viewing across a date range. The data in your reports is updated once every hour.
